ASK, SEEK, KNOCK.

Welcome to the UCC Southbury!

We are a Bible-based Christian community that extends a warm invitation to all those seeking a deeper understanding of God revealed through the person of Jesus Christ.

Sundays at 9:30am - 283 Main Street North

No matter who you are or where you find yourself on life's journey, you will find an open door here. At UCC Southbury, our aim is to provide a safe and nurturing environment where you can authentically engage with a supportive community and discover the abundant blessings that God has in store for you.

I firmly believe that God has extraordinary plans in motion for this church, and I am excited to be part of this transformative journey. I am confident that you, too, will discover a sense of fulfillment and purpose as you become part of our faith community.

We genuinely desire to connect with you, listen to your unique story, and foster a deeper relationship with God together. Regardless of your background or the challenges you've faced, UCC Southbury offers a place where you can truly belong.

Grace + Truth,
Rev. Shawn Garan, Senior Pastor

Our vision is for people to know Jesus, discover who they were created to be, and live out their purpose in their lives and in our community.

Join Us For Worship ⛪︎

Every Sunday we gather for worship in our historic New England Meetinghouse. Our church is rooted deeply in the history here in Southbury but we also are a church rooted in what the Spirit of God is doing in our day.

In our church service you will hear traditional hymns that will help you connect with God as music can often transcend words. You will see us meditating and praying, reading and studying Scripture, along with offering the Sacrament of Communion on the first Sunday of each month, and the occasional baptism, rite, or ceremony.

We are so blessed to live in a day and age where from one place, we can broadcast and invite others to worship with us, learn from our Teacher and Savior Jesus, and connect with one another, living out the Scripture, “encourage one another and build one another up” (1 Thessalonians 5:11).

If you would like to receive a bulletin before Sunday service or, to use as you join us online, please sign up for our Friday e-mail where that along with other church activities and events can be found. You can do that by simply clicking here: Sign Me Up for the UCCS Friday E-mail.
